Er, Sailor Moon doesn't disperse Chaos. In fact, she does the opposite - she traps it in the Cauldron. Technically I didn't say that Sailor Moon disbursed Chaos. But your right it wasn't disbursed; I was mixing anime and manga canon in my memory. I just rechecked the actually text and it seems Chaos was 'melted into the cauldron.' However, Guardian Cosmos doesn't say what caused it so it could've been Sailor Moon or the Lambda Power. I am pretty sure the Lambda Power is a power held by the Cosmos Crystal which, we are told, also melts away into the Cauldron. Rambling.

Sorry if I ask to many questions. What is Lambda power?

Cosmos describes it as "the power to lose everything or to save everything." She doesn't describe it any further than that.

Sentai, I really think you need to read the last act of the manga, which I linked. It will help answer all your questions, and it will take less time than waiting on all of us to answer questions for you.

The anime skipped over so much that you do really need to read the manga to understand everything.

Ok, here's how it works (hold on to your hats, this is about to get complicated...) - Eternal Sailor Moon doesn't defeat Chaos at the Galaxy Cauldron, and the war continues. - Ultimately, Eternal Sailor Moon becomes Sailor Cosmos. - Sailor Cosmos thinks she really screwed up, so she should go back in time and fix it by getting Eternal Sailor Moon (herself in the past) to defeat Chaos at the Galaxy Cauldron. - Sailor Cosmos disguises herself as ChibiChibi and goes back to guide Eternal Sailor Moon (herself in the past!) - Eternal Sailor Moon defeats Chaos in manga volume 18. OOOooooohhh, okay. I see now.

OOoohhh....some things got mixed up for me now. I don't know if it's because the translation of the manga I read, but I thought that Chaos melted itself with the Galaxy Cauldron and that Sailor Moon jumped in to save everyone. Sailor Cosmos came to the past to make sure Sailor Moon destroys the cauldron and thusly kills Chaos, but Sailor Moon refused because while the Cauldron existed stars could be reborn over and over again. So she jumped into the Cauldron and melted herself with the Cauldron and because of that the Cauldron restored its true form (without Chaos) but Chaos was not destroyed but somehow just purged from the Cauldron?
Wow I really wrote Cauldron many times. ;D

Actually, it says that Chaos is "so small now that it cannot be found." Usagi says that she was trying to surround Chaos, so it makes sense that she would have sealed it or taken away its power or something. So Chaos is still in the Cauldron, it just doesn't have enough power to control it like it did before.

And the reason I was confusing myself is because in the anime, I think Usagi explained that Chaos has been spread out into tiny parts inside of people. Like, a little bad and a little good in everyone kind of thing.

For what it's worth, I researched 'Lambda' and it stands for the cosmological constant which is a term that allows for the current accelerating expansion of the universe...like the constant the planets and other celestial objects attained after the Big Bang: the inertia that causes them to go further and further away from each other in varying speed.
In other words, the power of creation.
On the other hand, the concept of Chaos comes from the theory in Universal Physics that at the center of each galaxy there is a black hole: black holes are what's left after a star explodes, and the black hole that is Chaos is all that was left after the original mother star exploded, splitting into thousand smaller parts which became the stars that now form the galaxy...
In SM, the Galaxy Caudron is a place filled with energy where Darkness and Light fight for supremacy, and for whom will get to have the most of that energy for themselves. This Light and Dark are the Cosmos seed, and the Chaos seed... The original mother star that exploded in this story, giving way to the Big Bang, was the huge mass of matter that exploded, giving birth to the star seeds that formed the universe... and also at the same time it exploded into star seeds, it caused the Chaos and Cosmos seeds inside it to split, together with the matter, into this many star seeds, giving birth to the sailor crystals among the many star seeds: the star seeds which had ended up with plenty of the Cosmos seed's original Light energy, eventually grew into the sailor crystals of the Light side and incarnations of the Cosmos seed (the sailor soldiers).... whereas the star seeds that ended up with the most energy from the Chaos seed inside them presumably became Chaos future incarnations (beings the likes of Metallia, Nemesis, etc etc)... The star seeds that received great amount of the energy of either, but not enough to become sailor crystals, became beings with greater light or dark powers (depending how much from which they had received (like the guardians of the senshi, Phobos and Deimos and Luna and Artemis, for example). Last, the star seeds that didn't receive great energy from neither became normal people (and perhaps normal planets) without noticeable powers.
It could be assumed, though, that even though both the Chaos and Cosmos seeds had split, there was a big piece still left together in both cases: in the case of the Chaos seed, this big piece was the core of Chaos that was left inside the Cauldron... in the case of the Cosmos seed, this big piece was the strongest seed, the Silver Crystal (notice they were big pieces in the sense of energy, not size) and thus why Sailor Cosmos HAS to be of Sailor Moon descent.
Remember Eternal Sailor Moon said at the end, before jumping in the Cauldron, that she now understood why Chaos wanted her power? Everything that is the universe used to be one in the beginning: that is why sailor soldiers (and perhaps even normal people) can't handle lonlieness and strive to be with each other (in friendship, love relationships or family ties). However, the extreme consequence of this would be that everyone would be fused together in a single body (like Galaxia did with the sailor crystals that she'd stolen) and we would have no individuality... That was what Galaxia caused, in order to recreate the old mother star that was in the beginning (the Cosmos seed/crystal) so that Chaos, the black hole, could suck it (and become all powerful by sucking the energy of all the galaxy put together).
The Lambda power of the united sailor crystals was the power to create the universe again, by splitting from each other... that power could only be attained if the strongest power of the Light joined them, so that the old mother star could be complete again, and thus explode again. It was Eternal Sailor Moon's jumping into the Cauldron what finally enabled all the crystals to use the Lambda power and split from each other, by actually completing the mother star that Galaxia had been intending to create (mistakenly thinking the return of the mother star would probably make Chaos, the black hole that it originally was, disappear) and thus allowing t to explode. By completing the mother star before it was completely absorbed by Chaos, Sailor Moon's action allowed it to explode into the sailor crystals (and thus letting the sailor crystals escape) before Chaos, the black hole, could finish to suck them all inside it...
But the death of the mother star (by exploding into smaller pieces that were the sailor crystals) would obviously and inevitably cause again another black hole... thus Chaos wasn't destroyed.
Therefore, technically, and thinking of Physics, Chaos wasn't dispersed or contained: the consequence of Sailor Moon's jumping into the Cauldron was only that Chaos lost all the energy of the sailor crystals which it had sucked to become stronger, because the sailor crystals gained the power to take their energy back and eventually flee from it... initiating the process of creation of the universe and separation of the Big Bang into the planets all over again (Lambda)...
We're talking about a new universe in the sense of what concerns the sailor crystals though (for it was only sailor crystals what Galaxia stole, and not star seeds of normal people or planets without a sailor soldier) and a new life for them (not necesarily a new universe for normal starseeds, people and planets)... But because sailor crystals are supposedly one of the strongest types of star seeds, and affect the weaker star seeds and everything around them, everything that happens to the sailor crystals affects the other starseeds as well, presumably.
On the other hand, because the process of the creation (and Lambda) of new life and beginning doesn't happen in an instant but takes so long though, Sailor Moon was able to reunite with her friends inside the Cauldron while the process was still happening, and Guardian Cosmos gave her the choice of deciding whether the new life of the sailor crystals that would be created and that she'd helped create would have a new history that would begin from zero (which had been Queen Serenity's choice at the end of the Silver Millenium) or continue the history of the old life from where they had left it when the ordeal started... Sailor Moon chose the decision to be for them to continue the old history (for herself and for her friends, at least, we can't tell about the other sailor crystals), and thus the sailor crystals of the senshi of our Solar System were given the power to revive their previous human bodies when they returned, instead of being reincarnated in new mortal bodies as babies (which had been, as we said, what the old Queen Serenity had long ago chosen, when addressed with the same question).
However, because Chaos failed getting stronger by sucking the energy of the sailor crystals from the Light side, it probably decided to try to get stronger by calling the energy of its own incarnations (beings the likes of Paraoh 90, Metallia, etc) back to itself, thus creating an evil counterpart of the mother star which was the Chaos seed/crystal, which gave origin to Sailor Chaos, in the distant future... allowing it for there to be a Sailor Cosmos and a Sailor Chaos at the same time, which otherwise would have been impossible.
Impossible, this because Light and Dark both compete with each other for the energy to exist, thus their constant struggle, and if there was a Sailor Cosmos then it meant the Light side had absorbed the majority of the energy in the Cauldron, rendering Chaos very weak... and the only way for it to still be strong in that circumstance would have been to take energy from another place that wasn't the Cauldron: its own incarnations... In Stars, we only saw the Light and Dark side fighting for the energy in the Cauldron, which had been at the moment consisting of just the energy of the sailor crystals of the Light side (the Light side's incarnations, which were incarnations of the Cosmos seed); but not the energy, starseeds or sailor crystals of the incarnations of the Dark side, the incarnations of the Chaos seed.
