Definitely Mamoru. Seiya was a good friend...but in the end, he had to go. To me, he was a temporary replacement...and let's not forget that Seiya is, after all, a girl. Not that there's a problem with it, but if Seiya and Usagi wound up together, they might have had some problems with getting the future right ^.^;
Hey, as much as Chibiusa may have annoyed us, she's important. She may have matured in the future, too.

Mamoru -- he's deep, genuine and caring. Seiya is none of those things. Eh... did you watch the entire stars season? I don't know how someone can write Seiya off as not being those things after watching it. As for my vote, I'm going with Seiya. I know they're not cannon, but I usually don't go for cannon pairings anyway. ; Odd. I also never really was that attached to anime Mamoru, he just didn't click with me. I always found the dynamics between Usagi and Seiya more enjoyable to watch. And eh, that's what AU fanfiction/storylines/whatever is all about. XD

Alas, the friend I'm watching with hasn't been online for ages, so no, I've still got 13 episodes to go. But what I've seen so far has given me such an intense dislike for Seiya that I find it hard to imagine I'll end up changing my mind. Still, I could be wrong. It's been known to happen.

Mamoru -- he's deep, genuine and caring. Seiya is none of those things. If Seiya wasn't deep, genuine, and caring.. would he have worried about Usagi's well being so much? Would he have stepped back and let Usagi go even though it hurt his heart? You're wrong. Seiya is deep, genuine, and caring.. and he/she is not useless like Mamoru is. Exactly, and that's why I chose Seiya over Mamoru. In the Anime, Seiya seems more...realistic for her, I mean Seiya's really open and caring in the Stars Season more than Mamoru was the entire season. And yet, knowing that she would never stray from Mamoru, he still tried to win her heart and surrendered when he came back.

I don't look at Seiya as being a weasel for "trying to steal Usagi".. He thought Mamoru was not going to come back. Seriously, the guy didn't respond to ANY of her letters, or call even once. I know Mamoru was dead and couldn't, but if I were Usagi.. that would be a huge hint to me. Seiya saw this, and that is why he still tried to win her heart. For those of you who think Seiya is annoying, I can sort of see where you're coming from.. but it doesn't mean he's an insensitive jerk.

As adorable as Seiya & Usagi were in the anime during their antics together, I can't really imagine Usagi loving anyone other than Mamoru. Ever. XD Their love is the ultimate in timeless ... found again after reincarnation ... and that whole spiel.
It may be corny, but it's a mahou shoujo anime for goodness' sake. <3

Seiya was just so sweet and caring for her for the entire season. He was always there when she needed it, and Mamoru was always so... so... blah. I don't know. When she'd visit him, he'd always act so strange and cold. Glad to see so many Seiya-Usagi fans like me! Their relationship was just so sweet. I love making AMVs about the two. But this one I recently made, I feel, is my best work: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLqPFnvhwEM

I never saw Mamoru as being cold towards her. He sure does stick his neck out for her a lot.
I never thought Seiya as being "sweet and caring" for Usagi the whole season. Sure, he didn't agree with Taiki and Seiya, but he wasn't exactly always the nice guy, either.

Seiya an Usagi have more in common, so they wouldn't have as many awkward silences. Hahahah.

Mamoru. I think Seiya is cooler and funier than Mamoru but Mamoru is Usagi's first and only love.
