Take into account evil people, new senshi, deaths , and Your favorite might not be the most dramatic please please please think this one over. Personally, I think stars is so very dramatic for so many reasons.

I think it was either S or Stars, though I chose Stars for the poll. They both had the very emotional battles at the end, but Stars had all of those deaths that made me weep like a baby.

It was a close tie between Stars and S. I mean, S had its great dramatic moments, but in the end, I think the whole StarS was more dramatic. A bit overdramatic. But I still love it anyway. xD

Stars by a landslide! I agree that S was kind of dramatic, but I'd have to say it's probably my least favorite season (although a lot of people think it's the best!). I thought the whole future Crystal Tokyo thing in R was pretty dramatic, too!

Well, Stars was really dramatic. However, after giving it a LOOOT of thinking over, I have to say Classic. Really, I do. Especially near the end. Although R and S also had some very dramatic moments (Cooan and Rei's fight in R comes to mind).

The S season is the most dramatic for me. Especially the history of Hotaru/MIstress 9/ Sailor Saturn...you know, the fact that she can actually destroy everything, and the schizophrenic persoanlity. I really felt the tragedy there. Close after come the Classic and the Stars.

In order from most Dramatic to least:
Classic (I cry everytime I watch episode 45) Stars (I cry every time I watch Neptune and Uranus's death...Just...Wow.) S (Pretty dramatic, I was shocked when I saw Chibiusa's crystal being taken out and fed to Mistress 9) R (Eh...It wasn't as dramatic to me for some odd reason...Oh well. When Chibiusa turned into Black/Wicked Lady...THAT shocked me.) SuperS (Being a Chibiusa fan, I loved this arc...But...It had too many quirky moments to be dramatic, though it had its rare moments.)

Very hard decision indeed! If I really had to choose, I'd say Sailor Moon R. Seriously, the whole going into Crystal Tokyo part and the Black Moon Family bit was great! Heck, even Rini being turned into Wicked Lady threw me for a loop. Also, parts of the Doom Tree arc of the story, were good, but some were kind of obvious. The S Season was a close second.

I love how no one voted SuperS... XD
In regards to the "overdramatization of Usagi" thing. Well... I think that because Usagi's character is sooo much more developed than all of the other characters, and how the viewers fall so much in love with her, it pains them to ever even see her a little bit sad. Much less devastated.
It's heart-breaking to see her frantically watch absolutely everyone who makes up her entire world die horrible painful deaths right before her eyes. You imagine it as your own best friends, or boyfriend, or little sister dieing that way. It's... pretty horrible. It's almost unbearable to watch, or even think about.
I'd say Stars was most dramatic... because that one hit closest to home. Plus I think it was the most creative and visually powerful scene of the series.
I know that she went through this in the Classic ending... but it wasn't the same. She didn't know them as well. Their bond wasn't as strong. It just wasn't... as much of a "No... not this. Please not now. Not after all we've been through! Why is this happening now? Why is this happening to me???" moment.
One thing I certainly love about Sailor Moon, is that it went out with a bang.

Eh, I didn't really fall in love with Usagi. She was one of my least favorite characters, actually. What I found most dramatizing was the whole 'omg, you might not be able to beat this one.' and everyone just being killed off and the world being destroyed to a point where the universe was involved and 'ohmigosh, you might die too'. That type of drama.

StarS was definitely full of drama and sad moments, but I had to vote Classic.

Can't decide between S and StarS. S is more moral struggle, StarS has more galactic importance...plus there's S/U, which I personally adore.
I eventually voted S. I love whole struggle between UraNep's point of view and Sailor Moon's point of view. Plus, S's type of drama is FAR more personal than StarS's drama. I mean, why do we (as an audience) care about planets that are lightyears away, that we've never seen before? With S, it's more immediate, closer to home. I mean, the enemies infiltrate from WITHIN JUUBAN! Brilliant...and that makes the drama hit home even harder.
EDIT: By the way, I find it hilarious that no one has voted for SuperS yet. ^^ I can see why, its so light and airy. But I thought at least ONE person would vote for that.

I chose Sailor Stars because of the amount of death and destruction that occured. In S the whole world was silenced, but nobody actually died except for Saturn. In Stars, almost everyone ended up dying, PLUS Galaxia had the whole world (or at least Tokyo) under attack. It was a pretty gripping ending, especially with the Sailor Wars and the amount of destruction Galaxia caused before heading to Earth. And episode 200 made me cry like a baby the first time I saw it. The only two episodes of Sailor Moon that have made me full-out sob are episode 88 (because it hits close to home personally) and episode 200.
